It was a week to remember for Disley Golf Club, as both individual brilliance and team triumphs took centre stage.
Josh Crumplin capped off a sensational Great Manchester Alliance season with a commanding victory in the prestigious Presidents Day competition at Disley. Crumplin delivered a remarkable course record round, posting an eye-watering 47 points, including an astonishing 14 threes on his scorecard — a performance that left spectators and fellow competitors in awe.
The professional individual standings also saw strong showings from Ian Ridgway, who secured second place with 41 points, and Scott Jackson, who rounded out a full Disley podium in third with 40 points.
In the amateur competition, Matt Hill claimed second spot with 39 points in a rollercoaster round that featured an impressive eight birdies. Steve Misell also impressed, finishing fourth in the amateur prize category.
The week’s success didn’t end there. On Thursday, Disley’s team cruised to a dominant 6–1 victory over Sandiway in the opening round of the Dunham Trophy. The commanding win was secured by a formidable lineup including Josh Crumplin, James McCormick, Matt Hill, Lewis Holland, Nathan Singleton, Andy Webb, and Max Brown.
With momentum building and confidence high, Disley looks well-poised for continued success as the season unfolds.
