What side of the debate are you on?

Englishman Eddie Pepperell has become just as famous for his witty Twitter account as he is for his golf game, and he used his social media to highlight his displeasure at the ongoing slow-play debacle – particularly at one player.

American Bryson DeChambeau took over two-minutes to play a 70-yard chip and roughly the same time to line-up an eight-foot putt (only to go on and miss it) at The Northern Trust on the PGA Tour.

Although not playing in the event, it's safe to say Pepperell was not impressed, labelling DeChambeau an ‘unaffected single-minded golfer’ – without directly naming him (of course). Well, DeChambeau hit back at his critics saying:

“When you start personally attacking people on Twitter, it's like, come on, dude. Speak to me to my face about that."

Whilst all this was going on, Patrick Reed slipped through all the noise to claim his seventh PGA Tour win, beating Abraham Ancer by one-shot to jump up to second in the FedEx Cup standings with just two events to go.

Quiz of the Week

This week's PGA Tour event heads to the venue of one of the greatest ever Ryder Cups this week as the BMW Championship takes place from Medinah Country Club, Illinois. Who can forget Europe securing the 8.5 points on the final day in 2012 in order to win the Ryder Cup outright? So, here is the question:

No distractions

Variety is the spice of life

Whatever happened to having a ‘textbook’ swing? If you were to watch golf on TV you’d see all sorts of different swings that have propelled these golfers to the top of the world, and the same can be said on the greens too.
